Austria strikes by strong earthquake

On Tuesday 20 April 2021, the German Research Centre for Geosciences reported that a strong earthquake strikes near Wiener Neustadt, Austria, considered one of the key international agencies that monitor seismic activity worldwide. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter after midnight at 12:57 am local time.

Our monitoring service received multiple user reports describing light to moderate shaking. Some users reported feeling a sudden jolt followed by 2-5 seconds of shaking.
