The US is a pretty big country, isn't it? How many food processing plants are there? Very likely, any given week there's a fire-related incident in one of them. Not all of these burn down completely. Did you look into the causes and damages? Those on the list aren't of the same type, right? How many new ones get build/opened? Just because the list arbitrarily starts at 2021, doesn't mean there have been many similar ones prior, these are just not on this list, or otherwise you're claiming/suggesting/believing there has never been a fire incident involving a food plant in the US for all of its history?

Fertilizers and wheat grain are typical risks. But also, more dryness/fires in general, which also affects food plants. Also, why worry too much, world is a big larger than just the US.

What are you hinting at, "something major going on" and "food production is under attack"? By whom/what? More dryness/fires, or you're suggesting/believing there's somebody driving around, doing these on purpose (undetected)?

US has more of a problem with food distribution, so-called food-deserts, because everything is car-oriented and is just a single chain shop, and if that goes down, then no alternative sources for food supply.
